Love, Little & Lyrics! Grand with Vidal and Gardot

Just a small refection of the love which grandparents have for those 'little' additions to the family and which is so intense but hard to put into suitable words, so I'll refer first to a quote from Gore Vidal:

"Never have children-only grandchildren" -clever and amusing as expected from him but not as good perhaps or appropriate as part of the lyrics from the song "If the Stars were Mine":

"If the world was mine, I'll tell you what I'd do,

I'd wrap the World in ribbons and give it all to you.

I'd teach the birds such lovely words

And make them sing for you.

I'd put those stars right in a jar,

And give them all to you."

quote from lyrics in Cd: 'My one and only Thrill'-- Melody Gardot(Universal Music 2009)

Sentiments applicable to feelings of most grandparents towards their little grandchildren everywhere and coming from that beautiful music which just like the aforementioned children is wonderful true and true.

Who said men (grandparent variety at least) don't have hearts of gold, off back to Mars soon (from Venus?) to get sense of proportion!
